Holiday Entertainment

Coming into October, you will see a lot of preparations for Halloween. It seems like everyone in the entertainment business finds something to do for this occasion.
Theme parks each have their own version of the month long Halloween parties. Universal Studios has Halloween Horror Nights, which is celebrating its seventeenth anniversary this year. Six Flags across the world have Fright Fest which has mazes, special shows and rides, etc, and Busch Gardens has Howl-o-Scream which has the same type of activities the other theme parks have.
Bars, taverns, and clubs have costume parties. They have costume contests, activities such as bobbing for apples, etc.
Even the movie companies take part in Halloween, and they start early. This year on August 31st, the first Halloween movie of the year came out this was the new installment of the Halloween series. Aside from new movies that come out in theaters, the movies from Halloween last year are often held back from being released on DVD until Halloween the following year. This way, people go to see them in the theaters because they want a scare for Halloween, and people will buy it for the same reason when it comes on DVD the following year.
Christmas is another big holiday the entertainment industry celebrates. Again theme parks have their own month long parties. Disney has Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas, and Main Street is decorated in fake snow making it look much like a winter wonderland. The parades are changed for this event as well. Universal Studios has Grinchmas starring the Grinch. They bring in ice machines and such to make ice skating rinks, snow hills you can sled down, etc.
The same goes for the movie companies as well. About a month before Christmas, the movies can be found making their way to the theaters and DVD shelves.
TV series even have their own holiday specials. They show families and friends celebrating winter holidays such as Christmas and Hanukkah, Easter, Halloween, and others.
If you are thinking of getting into the entertainment business, you may want to think of these things. Movie companies, theme parks, bars, and clubs all need to have fun too. You need to find something no one else is doing, depending on the type of business it is, and your audience/customers. Having the special events on your website would bring more clients in. It has been proven that during holiday events, profits go up and you get more customers.
